is it time to get a gun control bill?

Not too long ago a horrible shooting rocked the town of Newport Connecticut. On December 14. 2012, Adam Lanza Killed his mother who was a teacher at Sandy Hook Elementary school. After her murder Lanza went to Sandy Hook and opened fire on several unarmed staff members and children. Police later learned that the weapons used in the shooting were a semiautomatic .223-caliber Bushmaster rifle and two pistols. I think we can all agree that the shooting was the most horrible and tragic event that we as a nation have ever witnessed. 
In response to the tragedy, U.S Senator Dianne Feinstein will be submitting a bill to the U.S Senate on gun control. This bill will make it illegal to own, sell, and transfer weapons of war. This is very controversial issue with strong opinions from both sides. Many believe it is time that we have gun control while others feel that the problem lies strictly with individuals. So do you think, it is time to get a gun control bill?
